Vix Powell, Associate. In July 2018 I decided to become a freelance forest school leader to start new adventures in my outdoor teaching journey.
I continue to run ‘Day in the life of’ history sessions specialising in The Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Anglo Saxon and Viking period and continue to develop new sessions including World War 1 and Survival experience days.
I also run Forest school sessions in a variety of different settings designed for students to experience a very 'hands on' approach to learning. I provide space to explore, time to investigate and opportunities to discover unique ways to develop their knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the curriculum.
I am very excited to be working with the wonderful team at Cleeve Prior Heritage Trust to develop their new education programme and welcome new schools and groups to this wonderful site for some outdoor adventures!!
